✧ Whether the Obligatory Prayer Suffices from Behind the Seven

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ:
قِيلَ لَهُ: إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ الْمَكْتُوبَةَ تُجْزِئُ مِنْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ عَلَى السَّبْعِ، فَقَالَ: مَا طَافَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ سَبْعًا إِلَّا صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ
Translation
✧ It was said to him: 'The obligatory prayer suffices for the two rak'ahs after the seven rounds.' He said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ never performed tawaf seven rounds except that he prayed two rak'ahs after it.'
