✧ Recitation During Circumambulation and Talking

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، أَوْ عِكْرِمَةَ، أَوْ كِلَاهُمَا، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ:
الطَّوَافُ صَلَاةٌ، وَلَكِنْ قَدْ أُذِنَ لَكُمْ فِي الْكَلَامِ. فَمَنْ نَطَقَ فَلَا يَنْطِقْ إِلَّا بِخَيْرٍ
Translation
✧ Circumambulation is prayer, but you have been permitted to speak. So whoever speaks, let him not speak except with good.
