عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
سَمِعْتُ عَطَاءً، وَغَيْرَهُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا: يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّ عُمَرَ أَوَّلُ مَنْ رَفَعَ الْمَقَامَ، فَوَضَعَهُ مَوْضِعَهُ الْآنَ، وَإِنَّمَا كَانَ فِي قِبَلِ الْكَعْبَةِ
Translation

✧ I heard Ata and others of our companions claiming that Umar was the first to move the Station and place it in its current position; it had been in front of the Kaaba.
