✧ Kissing the Hand When Touching

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ:
لَمْ أَرَ أَحَدًا يَسْتَلِمُ إِلَّا وَهُوَ يُقَبِّلُ يَدَهُ، وَأَدْرَكْنَا النَّاسَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ قَالَ: " وَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ أَيُّوبَ كَثِيرًا مِمَّا يَمْسَحُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ بِيَدِهِ إِذَا اسْتَلَمَ بَعْدَ أَنْ يُقَبِّلَ يَدَهُ
Translation
Chain of narrators
machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Maʿmar, he said:
✧ I did not see anyone touch except that he kissed his hand, and we found the people upon that. He said: And indeed I saw Ayyub often wiping his face with his hand when he touched after kissing his hand.
