✧ How Few the Pilgrims Are, and What Wealth Is Not Accepted in Hajj

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ فُضَيْلِ بْنِ مَرْزُوقٍ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
إِنَّ اللهَ طَيِّبٌ لَا يَقْبَلُ إِلَّا طَيِّبًا، أَمَرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ بِمَا أَمَرَ بِهِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ، فَقَالَ: ﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الرُّسُلُ كُلُوا مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَاعْمَلُوا صَالِحًا ﴾ثُمَّ قَالَ: ﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُلُوا مِنْ طَيِّبَاتِ مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ ﴾قَالَ: ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ رَجُلًا يُطِيلُ السَّفَرَ، أَشْعَثَ أَغْبَرَ يَمُدُّ يَدَهُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ يَقُولُ: يَا رَبِّ، يَا رَبِّ، وَطَعَامُهُ حَرَامٌ، وَمَلْبَسُهُ حَرَامٌ، وَغَدَا فِي الْحَرَامِ أَنَّى يَسْتَجِيبُ لَهُ
Translation
✧ Allah is good and accepts only what is good. He commanded the believers with what He commanded the messengers, and said: “O messengers, eat from the good things and act righteously” (Q 23:51). Then He said: “O you who believe, eat from the good things We have provided for you” (Q 2:172). He said, then he mentioned a man who prolongs travel, disheveled and dusty, stretching his hand to the sky saying, “O Lord, O Lord,” while his food is unlawful, his clothing is unlawful, and he has been nourished by the unlawful — how could he be answered?
