✧ The Virtue of Hajj

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا بَكَّارٌ قَالَ:
سُئِلَ طَاوُسٌ الْحَجُّ بَعْدَ الْفَرِيضَةِ أَفْضَلُ أَمِ الصَّدَقَةُ ؟ فَقَالَ: " أَيْنَ الْحِلُّ، وَالرَّحِيلُ، وَالسَّهَرُ، وَالنَّصَبُ، وَالطَّوَافُ بِالْبَيْتِ، وَالصَّلَاةُ عِنْدَهُ، وَالْوُقُوفُ بِعَرَفَةَ، وَجَمْعُ وَرَمْيُ الْجِمَارِ ؟ كَأَنَّهُ يَقُولُ: الْحَجُّ
Translation
✧ Tawus was asked: After the obligatory, is Hajj better or charity? He said: 'Where is the halting, the departure, the staying awake at night, the toil, the tawaf around the House, the prayer near it, the standing at Arafah, the gathering [at Muzdalifah], and the stoning of the jamarat? It is as if he was saying: Hajj.'
