✧ Horses and Mules

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ:
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ أَكْلِ الْخَيْلِ ؟ فَقَالَ: " مَا عَلِمْنَا الْخَيْلَ أُكِلَتْ أَمْ إِلَّا فِي الْحَصَا
Translation
✧ I asked him about eating horses, and he said: We did not know horses to be eaten except in scarcity.
