✧ The Domestic Donkey

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ مَجْزَأَةَ بْنِ زَاهِرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، وَكَانَ أَبُوهُ مِمَّنْ شَهِدَ الشَّجَرَةَ قَالَ:
إِنِّي لَأُوقِدُ تَحْتَ الْقُدُورِ، أَوْ قَالَ: عَنِ الْقُدُورِ بِلَحْمِ الْحُمُرِ إِذْ نَادَى مُنَادِي رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ: إِنَّ اللهَ يَنْهَاكُمْ، عَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ.
Translation
✧ I was kindling fire under the cooking pots—or he said: over the pots—with donkey meat, when the caller of the Messenger of God ﷺ announced: God forbids you the meat of donkeys.
