✧ The Slaughter of the Animal While It Is Moving

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ لِي:

الْمَوْقُوذَةُ، وَالْمُتَرَدِّيَةُ، وَالنَّطِيحَةُ، وَمَا أَكَلَ السَّبُعُ مِنْهَا، قَالَ: إِذَا ذَكَّيْتَهَا، وَعَيْنُهَا تَطْرُفُ أَوْ قَائِمَةٌ مِنْ قَوَائِمِهَا فَلَا بَأْسَ بِهَا

Translation

✧ The animal beaten to death, the one that falls, the one gored, and that which the wild beast has eaten from, he said: "If you slaughter it while its eye blinks or one of its legs is standing, then there is no harm in it."
