عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، وَابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ يَقُولُ:
كُنْتُ مَعَ عُثْمَانَ بَيْنَ مَكَّةَ، وَالْمَدِينَةِ، وَنَحْنُ مُحْرِمُونَ فَاصْطِيدَتْ لَهُ، فَأَمَرَ أَصْحَابَهُ أَنْ يَأْكُلُوا، وَلَمْ يَأْكُلْ هُوَ، قَالَ: " اصْطِيدَتْ أَوْ أُمِيتَتْ بِاسْمِي "، قَالَ: فَقَامَ عَلِيٌّ، فَقِيلَ لِعُثْمَانَ: إِنَّهُ كَرِهَ أَكْلَهَا، فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ: ﴿وَحُرِّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ صَيْدُ الْبَرِّ مَا دُمْتُمْ حُرُمًا ﴾فَقَالَ لَهُ عَمْرٌو: " فِي فِيكَ التُّرَابُ "، فَقَالَ لَهُ عَلِيٌّ: بَلْ فِي فِيكَ التُّرَابُ
Translation
✧ I was with Uthman between Makkah and Madinah while we were in ihram, and game was hunted for him. He ordered his companions to eat, but he did not eat. He said, "It was hunted or killed on my account." He said: Ali stood up, and it was said to Uthman that he disliked eating it. So he sent for him, and Ali said: "Forbidden to you is game of the land while you are in ihram." Amr said to him, "May dust fill your mouth." Ali said to him, "Rather, may dust fill your mouth."
