✧ The sacrifices

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ:
لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ أَدَعَ الْأُضْحِيَّةَ، وَإِنِّي لَمِنْ أَيْسَرِكُمْ بِهَا مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يُحْسَبَ أَنَّهَا حَتْمٌ وَاجِبٌ
Translation
✧ I considered abandoning the sacrifice, though I am among the wealthiest of you with regard to it, for fear that it would be thought to be an obligatory duty.
