machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Ibn Jurayj, from ʿAṭāʾ, who said:

✧ There is no harm in a woman in spiritual retreat being married during her retreat. Ibn Jurayj said: 'Ata' was asked: 'May a woman in spiritual retreat perfume herself and adorn herself?' He said: 'No. Do you want her husband to fall upon her? She should not perfume herself.' I said: 'If she does so, does that cut off her retreat?' He said: 'No. And why would she do that while she is in worship and humility? The perfume and adornment of a woman are only for her husband.'
