✧ The Sunnah of I'tikaf

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ، عَمَّنْ يَرْضَى بِهِ

أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ فِي اعْتِكَافِهَا كَانَتْ تَدْخُلُ بَيْتَهَا فِي حَاجَتِهَا فَتَمُرُّ بِالْمَرِيضِ، فَتَسْأَلُ عَنْهُ، وَهِيَ مَارَّةٌ لَا تُعَرِّجُ عَلَيْهِ

Translation

✧ A'ishah, during her i'tikaf, would enter her house for some need and pass by a sick person and ask about him while she was passing by, not stopping for him.
