عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَتْنِي سَرِيَّةُ بِنْتُ ذَكْوَانَ قَالَتْ:
كُنَّا نَأْتِي عُمَرَ بِالْغَالِيَةِ وَالذَّرِيرَةِ فِي ذَلِكَ الْمِسْكِ، فَيَبْدَأُ فَيُخَضِّبُ لِحْيَتَهُ بِالْخَلُوقِ، وَيُضَمِّخُ لِحْيَتَهُ بِالْغَالِيَةِ، وَيَتَذَرَّرُ، وَيَسْتَجْمِرُ
Translation
✧ We used to bring ʿUmar ghāliyah and dharīrah, including that musk, and he would begin by dyeing his beard with khaluq, then smear his beard with ghāliyah, apply dharīrah, and use incense.
