عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ الْخُرَاسَانِيِّ قَالَ:
جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ تُبَايِعُهُ، فَقَالَ: " مَا لَكِ لَا تَخْتَضِبِينَ ؟ أَلَكِ زَوْجٌ ؟ " قَالَتْ: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: " فَاخْتَضِبِي، فَإِنَّ الْمَرْأَةَ تَخْتَضِبُ لِأَمْرَيْنِ إِنْ كَانَ لَهَا زَوْجٌ فَلْتَخْتَضِبْ لِزَوْجِهَا، وَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهَا زَوْجٌ فَلْتَخْتَضِبْ لِخِطْبَتِهَا "، ثُمَّ قَالَ: لَعَنَ اللهُ الْمُذَكَّرَاتِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ، وَالْمُؤَنَّثِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ
Translation
✧ A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ to pledge allegiance to him. He said: "What is the matter with you that you do not dye? Do you have a husband?" She said: Yes. He said: "Then dye, for a woman dyes for two reasons: if she has a husband, let her dye for her husband; and if she does not have a husband, let her dye for her betrothal." Then he said: God has cursed mannish women and effeminate men.
