✧ Fasting on the Day of Ashura

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ حَرْمَلَةَ بْنِ إِيَاسٍ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ قَالَ:
سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْ صِيَامِ يَوْمِ عَاشُورَاءَ ؟ فَقَالَ: " كَفَّارَةُ السَّنَةِ
Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ was asked about fasting on the day of Ashura, and he said: 'It is an expiation for the year.'
