✧ Breaking a voluntary fast and fasting it if one did not intend it at night

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ يَحْيَى، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ:
دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَوْمًا فَقَرَّبْتُ لَهُ حَيْسًا فَأَكَلَ مِنْهُ، وَقَالَ: إِنِّي كُنْتُ أُرِيدُ الصِّيَامَ الْيَوْمَ، وَلَكِنْ أَصُومُ الْيَوْمَ مَكَانَهُ
Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ entered upon me one day, and I brought him some hays, and he ate from it and said: 'I had wanted to fast today, but I will fast a day in its place.'
