✧ Breaking a voluntary fast and fasting it if one did not intend it at night

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ:
إِذَا حَدَّثَ الرَّجُلُ نَفْسَهُ بِالصِّيَامِ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، ثُمَّ أَصْبَحَ صَائِمًا، فَإِنَّ لَهُ أَجْرَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَجْرَ النَّهَارِ، فَإِنْ أَفْطَرَ فَعَلَيْهِ الْقَضَاءُ
Translation
✧ If a man resolves to fast at night, then enters the morning fasting, he gets the reward of the night and the reward of the day. If he breaks the fast, he must make it up.
