✧ Breaking a voluntary fast and fasting it if one did not intend it at night

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ،
أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ " كَانَ إِذَا حَدَّثَ نَفْسَهُ بِالصِّيَامِ لَمْ يُفْطِرْ، وَإِذَا حَدَّثَ نَفْسَهُ بِالْإِفْطَارِ لَمْ يَصُمْ
Translation
✧ Ibn 'Umar, when he resolved to fast, would not break the fast; and when he resolved to break the fast, he would not fast.
