✧ Breaking a voluntary fast and fasting it if one did not intend it at night

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ، عَنْ أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ،
أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَأْتِي أَهْلَهُ حَتَّى يَنْتَصِفَ النَّهَارُ، وَيَسْأَلُهُمْ فَيَقُولُ: " هَلْ مِنْ غَدَاءٍ ؟ " فَنَجِدُهُ أَوْ لَا نَجِدُهُ، فَيَقُولُ: " لَا غَيْرَ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ فَيَصُومُهُ، وَقَدْ أَصْبَحَ مُفْطِرًا
Translation
✧ He would come to his family until midday and ask them: Is there any midday meal? We would find it or not find it. He would say: Only this day, so he would fast it, even though he had begun the day not fasting.
