✧ Wiping over the leather socks

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ:
سَمِعْتُ رَجُلًا يُحَدِّثُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ بِخَبَرِ سَعْدٍ، وَابْنِ عُمَرَ فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ، قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: لَوْ قُلْتُمْ هَذَا فِي السَّفَرِ الْبَعِيدِ، وَالْبَرْدِ الشَّدِيدِ
Translation
✧ I heard a man narrating to Ibn Abbas the report of Sa'd and Ibn Umar about wiping over the leather socks. Ibn Abbas said, "If only you said this in long-distance travel and severe cold."
