✧ The man who rinses his mouth and sniffs water while fasting and water enters his throat

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا رَجُلٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ،
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي الرَّجُلِ يُمَضْمِضُ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ فَيَدْخُلُ بَطْنَهُ قَالَ: إِنْ كَانَ لِلْمَكْتُوبَةِ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ شَيْءٌ، وَإِنْ كَانَ تَطَوُّعًا فَعَلَيْهِ الْقَضَاءُ
Translation
✧ From Ibn Abbas regarding a man who rinses his mouth while fasting and it enters his stomach: He said: If it was for the obligatory prayer, then there is nothing upon him; if it was voluntary, then he must make it up.
