✧ The Christian embracing Islam during part of Ramadan

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ أَبَانَ،
عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ فِي نَصْرَانِيٍّ أَسْلَمَ فِي أَيَّامٍ بَقِيَتْ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ قَالَ: يَصُومُ مَا أَدْرَكَ، وَيَقْضِي مَا فَاتَهُ، وَإِنْ أَسْلَمَ فِي آخِرِ يَوْمٍ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ فَهُوَ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الْمُسَافِرِ يَدْخُلُ فِي صَلَاةِ الْمُقِيمِينَ
Translation
✧ From Ikrimah regarding a Christian who embraces Islam in the remaining days of Ramadan: “He should fast what he has caught up with and make up what he missed. If he embraces Islam on the last day of Ramadan, he is like a traveler who joins the prayer of the residents.”
