عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ بُشَيْرِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ،
أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ كَانَ يَقُولُ لِلْخَرَّاصِ: " دَعْ لَهُمْ قَدْرَ مَا يَقَعُ، وَقَدْرَ مَا يَأْكُلُونَ
Translation
✧ ʿUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb used to say to the estimator: "Leave for them the amount that falls and the amount they eat."
