Translation
✧ About Khaybar he said: The Prophet ﷺ conquered it, and it was entirely his, with its fields and palm trees. The Prophet ﷺ and his companions had no servants, so the Prophet ﷺ made a truce with the Jews on the condition that you will do the work for us and you will have half of the fruit, on the condition that I will let you remain as long as Allah and His Messenger wish. That was when the Prophet ﷺ sent Ibn Rawāḥah to estimate the produce between them. When he gave them the choice, the Jews took the fruit. Khaybar remained in the hands of the Jews under the Prophet's ﷺ truce until ʿUmar, who expelled them. The Jews said: Did not the Prophet ﷺ make a truce with us on such and such terms? He said: Yes, on the condition that we let you remain as long as Allah and His Messenger wish. Now it seems good to me to expel you, so he expelled them. Then he divided it among the Muslims who had conquered it with the Prophet ﷺ and did not give any of it to anyone who had not been present at its conquest. He said: Its people now are Muslims; there are no Jews in it.
