عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ،
أَنَّ نَاسًا أَتَوْا عَلِيًّا بِصَدَقَاتِهِمْ، فَقَالَ: " تَأْخُذُونَ مِنَّا ؟ فَقَالُوا: لَا، " فَأَبَى أَنْ يَأْخُذَ مِنْهُمْ
Translation

✧ Some people brought their sadaqahs to Ali. He said, “Do you take from us?” They said, “No.” So he refused to take from them.
