✧ Charity on the orphan's wealth, seeking it out, and giving his zakat

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ:
سُئِلَ عَنْ أَمْوَالِ الْيَتَامَى ؟ فَقَالَ: " إِذَا بَلَغُوا فَأَعْلِمُوهُمْ مَا حَلَّ فِيهَا مِنْ زَكَاةٍ، فَإِنْ شَاءُوا زَكَّوْهُ، وَإِنْ شَاءُوا تَرَكُوهُ
Translation
✧ He was asked about the wealth of orphans, and he said: "When they reach puberty, inform them of what zakat has become due on it. If they wish, they may pay it; if they wish, they may leave it."
