✧ Charity on the orphan's wealth, seeking it out, and giving his zakat

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ بْنِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ، وَخَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ لِعُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ:
إِنَّ عِنْدَنَا أَمْوَالَ يَتَامَى، قَدْ خَشِينَا أَنْ يَأْتِيَ عَلَيْهَا الصَّدَقَةُ، فَخُذْهَا فَاعْمَلْ بِهَا، فَخَرَجَ فَرَبِحَ بِهَا ثَمَانِينَ أَلْفًا قَالَ: فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: " كَانَتْ تَمُرُّ عَلَيْكُمُ اللُّؤْلُؤَةُ الْجَيِّدَةُ، فَتَقُولُونَ: هَذِهِ لِأَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، رُدُّوا إِلَيْنَا رُءُوسَ أَمْوَالِنَا
Translation
✧ "We have with us wealth belonging to orphans, and we feared that charity would consume it. Take it and invest it." He went out and profited eighty thousand with it. He said, "Umar said, 'A fine pearl would pass by you and you would say, "This is for the Commander of the Faithful." Return to us our principal.'"
