✧ Ablution with Nabidh

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، وَإِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ أَبِي فَزَارَةَ الْعَبْسِيِّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زَيْدٍ، مَوْلَى عَمْرِو بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ:
لَمَّا كَانَتْ لَيْلَةُ الْجِنِّ تَخَلَّفَ مِنْهُمْ رَجُلَانِ فَقَالَا: نَشْهَدُ الْفَجْرَ مَعَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: مَعَكَ مَاءٌ ؟ قُلْتُ: لَيْسَ مَعِي مَاءٌ، وَلَكِنْ مَعِي إِدَاوَةٌ فِيهَا نَبِيذٌ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: تَمْرَةٌ طَيِّبَةٌ، وَمَاءٌ طَهُورٌ، فَتَوَضَّأَ
Translation
✧ On the night of the jinn, two men among them stayed behind and said: We will witness the dawn prayer with you, O Messenger of God. The Prophet ﷺ said: Do you have water with you? I said: I have no water with me, but I have a vessel with nabidh. The Prophet ﷺ said: Good dates and purifying water. So he performed ablution.
