✧ Rinsing the Mouth After Drinks

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ،
أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ شَرِبَ لَبَنًا، ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ مُطَرِّفٌ: أَلَا تُمَضْمِضُ ؟ قَالَ: لَا أُبَالِيهِ، اسْمَحْ يُسْمَحْ لَكُمْ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: إِنَّ اللهَ يَقُولُ: ﴿مِنْ بَيْنِ فَرْثٍ وَدَمٍ ﴾، قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: وَقَدْ قَالَ: ﴿لَبَنًا خَالِصًا سَائِغًا لِلشَّارِبِينَ ﴾
Translation
✧ Ibn 'Abbas drank milk, then stood up for prayer. Mutarrif said to him: 'Will you not rinse your mouth?' He said: 'I do not care. Be lenient and leniency will be shown to you.' A man said: 'God says: "from between digested food and blood"' Ibn 'Abbas said: 'But He also said: "pure milk, palatable to those who drink it"'
