✧ The trial of the grave

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ:

تَأْكُلُ الْأَرْضُ ابْنَ آدَمَ كُلَّهُ إِلَّا عَظْمَ الذَّنَبِ، وَمِنْهُ يُرَكَّبُ - أَوْ قَالَ -: يُوصَلُ " قَالَ: وَقَالَ: " تُمْطِرُ الْأَرْضُ مَطَرًا يُنْبِتُ أَجْسَادَ النَّاسِ حَتَّى يَصِيرَ جَسَدًا بِغَيْرِ رُوحٍ، ثُمَّ يُنْفَخُ فِيهِ الرُّوحُ "

Translation

✧ The earth consumes the son of Adam entirely except the coccyx bone, and from it he is composed—or he said: connected. He said: And he said: 'The earth will be rained upon with a rain that grows the bodies of people until they become bodies without souls, then the soul will be breathed into them.'
