أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ:

ائْتُوا مَوْتَاكُمْ فَسَلِّمُوا عَلَيْهِمْ، وَصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِمْ، فَإِنَّ لَكُمْ فِيهِمْ عِبْرَةً ". قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ: " وَرَأَيْتُ عَائِشَةَ تَزُورُ قَبْرَ أَخِيهَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، وَمَاتَ بِالْحُبْشِيِّ وَقُبِرَ بِمَكَّةَ

Translation

✧ “Come to your dead, greet them, and invoke blessing upon them, for in them is a lesson for you.” Ibn Abī Mulaykah said: “I saw ʿĀʾishah visiting the grave of her brother ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Abī Bakr. He died at al-Ḥubshī and was buried in Makkah.”
