✧ Patience, weeping, and wailing

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ،
أَنَّ صُهَيْبًا، قَالَ لِعُمَرَ: يَا أَخَاهُ، يَا صَاحِبَاهُ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: اسْكُتْ، وَيْحَكَ أَمَا سَمِعْتَنَا نَتَحَدَّثُ أَنَّ الْمُعَوَّلَ عَلَيْهِ يُعَذَّبُ ؟
Translation
✧ That Suhayb said to 'Umar, 'O my brother, O my companion!' 'Umar said, 'Be quiet, woe to you! Have you not heard us saying that the one mourned over is punished?'
