أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ أَبَانَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عِكْرِمَةَ، يَقُولُ
غَيَّرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ اسْمَ ابْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ هَذَا سَمَّاهُ عَبْدَ اللهِ وَكَانَ اسْمُهُ الْحُبَابَ
Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ changed the name of this Ibn Abd Allah, he named him Abd Allah, and his name had been al-Ḥubāb.
