✧ The prayer over the small child and the miscarried fetus, and its inheritance

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، وَعَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ قَالَ:
إِذَا تَمَّ خَلْقُهُ وَنُفِخَ فِيهِ الرُّوحُ صُلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ وَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَهِلَّ. قَالَ قَتَادَةُ: وَيُسَمَّى، فَإِنَّهُ يُبْعَثُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِاسْمِهِ - أَوْ قَالَ -: يُدْعَى بِاسْمِهِ ".
Translation
✧ When its creation is complete and the soul is breathed into it, it is prayed over even if it does not cry out. Qatadah said: 'And it is named, for it will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection by its name — or he said: it will be called by its name.'
