Translation
✧ Umar b. al-Khattab used to say over funerals three times: 'O Allah, Your servant so-and-so has entered the morning,' if it was morning, and if it was evening, he said: 'Your servant has entered the evening. He has departed from this world and left it to its people. He has become in need of You while You are free of need from him. He used to bear witness that there is no god but You and that Muhammad is Your servant and Messenger. So forgive him and pardon him.'
