✧ Those Who Said One Does Not Perform Ablution from What Fire Has Touched

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي عَوْنٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ شَدَّادِ بْنِ الْهَادِ قَالَ:
قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: الْوُضُوءُ مِمَّا مَسَّتِ النَّارُ، فَقَالَ مَرْوَانُ: وَكَيْفَ يُسْأَلُ أَحَدٌ وَفِينَا أَزْوَاجُ نَبِيِّنَا ﷺ وَأُمَّهَاتُنَا قَالَ: فَأَرْسَلَنِي إِلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ فَسَأَلْتُهَا فَقَالَتْ: أَتَانِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ، وَقَدْ تَوَضَّأَ فَنَاوَلْتُهُ عَرْقًا أَوْ كَتِفًا فَأَكَلَ، ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ
Translation
✧ Abu Hurayrah said: Ablution is required from what fire has touched. Marwan said: How can anyone be asked while the wives of our Prophet ﷺ and our mothers are among us? He said: So he sent me to Umm Salamah, and I asked her. She said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to me after he had performed ablution, and I handed him a bone with meat or a shoulder, and he ate. Then he stood for prayer without performing ablution.
