✧ The takbir over the funeral

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ:
التَّكْبِيرُ عَلَى الرَّجُلِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ أَرْبَعًا، قُلْتُ: بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قُلْتُ: " فَوَضَعُوا رَجُلَيْنِ جَمِيعًا، قَالَ: يُكَبَّرُ عَلَيْهِمَا أَرْبَعُ تَكْبِيرَاتٍ "، فَقَالَ السَّائِلُ: فَإِنَّ أُنَاسًا يَقُولُونَ: ثَلَاثٌ كَمَا الْمَغْرِبُ ثَلَاثٌ، قَالَ: مَا سَمِعْنَا بِذَلِكَ
Translation
✧ The takbir over a man and a woman is four. I said, “Night and day?” He said, “Yes.” I said, “What if they place two men together?” He said, “Four takbirs are said over both of them.” The questioner said, “Some people say three, just as maghrib is three.” He said, “We have not heard of that.”
