✧ The takbir over the funeral

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَعْقِلٍ،
أَنَّ عَلِيًّا، صَلَّى عَلَى سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ فَكَبَّرَ عَلَيْهِ سِتًّا، ثُمَّ الْتَفَتَ إِلَيْنَا فَقَالَ: إِنَّهُ بَدْرِيٌّ
Translation
✧ ʿAlī prayed over Sahl b. Ḥunayf and said six takbirs over him, then he turned to us and said, “He was a Badrī.”
