عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ قَالَ:
حَضَرَ نَافِعٌ مَعَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ جِنَازَةَ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِسَرِفَ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: هَذِهِ زَوْجُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَوْ قَالَ: " هَذَا زَوْجُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَإِذَا رَفَعْتُمْ نَعْشَهَا فَلَا تُزَعْزِعُوا، وَلَا تُزَلْزِلُوا، وَارْفُقُوا، فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ تِسْعٌ، فَكَانَ يَقْسِمُ لِثَمَانٍ، وَلَا يَقْسِمُ لِوَاحِدَةٍ، قَالَ عَطَاءٌ: كَانَتِ الَّتِي لَمْ يَقْسِمْ لَهَا صَفِيَّةُ بِنْتُ حُيَيِّ بْنِ أَخْطَبَ، قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ: وَأَمَرَتْ عَائِشَةُ بِالْإِسْرَاعِ بِالْجَنَائِزِ
Translation
✧ Nāfiʿ was present with Ibn ʿAbbās at the funeral of Maymūnah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, at Sarif. Ibn ʿAbbās said: 'This is the wife of the Prophet ﷺ' or he said: 'This is the spouse of the Prophet ﷺ. So when you raise her bier, do not jolt it, and do not shake it, and be gentle. For the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had nine [wives], and he used to apportion [nights] to eight, and did not apportion to one.' ʿAṭāʾ said: 'The one to whom he did not apportion was Ṣafiyyah bt. Ḥuyayy b. Akhṭab.' Ibn Jurayj said: 'And ʿĀʾishah commanded hastening with funeral biers.'
