✧ The bier and seeking forgiveness

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ أَبِي هَمَّامِ بْنِ نَافِعٍ قَالَ:
رَأَيْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ حَسَنٍ أَخَذَ بِقَوَائِمِ سَرِيرِ طَاوُسٍ، وَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ بَعْضَ ثِيَابِهِ شُقِّقَتْ عَلَيْهِ، وَسَقَطَتْ قَلَنْسُوَتُهُ، فَمَا فَارَقَهُ حَتَّى أَتَى الْقَبْرَ، قُلْتُ لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ قَالَ: " بَيْنَ عَمُودَيِ النَّعْشِ "، قُلْنَا: وَأَيْنَ مَاتَ طَاوُسٌ ؟ قَالَ: " بِمَكَّةَ
Translation
✧ I saw ʿAbd Allāh b. Ḥasan holding the legs of the bier of Ṭāwūs. Indeed I saw that some of his clothes were torn on him and his cap fell off, yet he did not leave it until he reached the grave. I said to Abū Bakr: He said: Between the two poles of the bier. We said: And where did Ṭāwūs die? He said: In Makkah.
