عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، وَعَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حَفْصِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ:

أَمَرَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ امْرَأَتَهُ أَسْمَاءَ أَنْ تُغَسِّلَهُ وَكَانَتْ صَائِمَةً، فَعَزَمَ عَلَيْهَا لَتُفْطِرُ، فَدَعَتْ بِمَاءٍ قَبْلَ غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ فَشَرِبَتْ وَقَالَتْ: " لَا أُتْبِعُهُ الْيَوْمَ إِثْمًا فِي قَبْرِهِ "

Translation

✧ Abu Bakr commanded his wife Asma' to wash him, and she was fasting. He insisted that she break her fast. She called for water before sunset and drank, and said: 'I will not follow him today with a sin in his grave.'
