عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ،
أَنَّ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتَ عُمَيْسٍ امْرَأَةَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ غَسَّلَتْهُ حِينَ تُوُفِّيَ، ثُمَّ خَرَجَتْ فَسَأَلَتْ مَنْ بِحَضْرَتِهَا مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ فَقَالَتْ: " إِنِّي صَائِمَةٌ، وَإِنَّ هَذَا لَيَوْمٌ شَدِيدُ الْبَرْدِ، فَهَلْ عَلَيَّ مِنْ غُسْلٍ ؟ " قَالَ: لَا.
Translation
✧ Asma' bt. 'Umays, the wife of Abu Bakr, washed him when he died. Then she went out and asked those of the Muhajirun who were present, saying: 'I am fasting, and this is a very cold day; is washing required of me?' He said: 'No.'
