✧ Washing the deceased

قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ: قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ: قَالَ أَيُّوبُ:
وَإِذَا لَمْ يَجِدُوا سِدْرًا غَسَّلُوهُ بِالْأُشْنَانِ إِذَا طَالَ مَرَضُهُ وَكَثُرَ
Translation
✧ When they do not find lote-tree leaves, they wash him with potash if his illness was prolonged and severe.
