✧ Washing the deceased

قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ: وَكَانَ قَتَادَةُ يَقُولُ:

يَبْدَأُ بِمَيَامِنِهِ قَالَ: " فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُؤَضِّئَهُ نَزَعَ الَّتِي عَلَى وَجْهِهِ، فَأَمَّا الَّتِي عَلَى فَرْجِهِ فَلَا يُحَرِّكْهَا، وَلَكِنَّهُ يَضَعُ عَلَى يَدِهِ خِرْقَةً، ثُمَّ يُدْخِلُهَا تَحْتَ الْخِرْقَةِ

Translation

✧ He begins with his right side. He said: "When he wants to perform ablution on him, he removes the one over his face, but as for the one over his private parts, he should not move it. Instead, he places a rag on his hand, then inserts it beneath the rag."
