عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ:
نَعَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَصْحَابَ مُؤْتَةَ رَجُلًا رَجُلًا، بَدَأَ بِزَيْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ، ثُمَّ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَوَاحَةَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: فَأَخَذَ اللِّوَاءَ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ وَهُوَ سَيْفٌ مِنْ سُيُوفِ اللهِ
Translation
✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ announced the deaths of the companions of Muʾtah one by one. He began with Zayd b. Ḥārithah, then Jaʿfar b. Abī Ṭālib, then he said: ʿAbd Allāh b. Rawāḥah, then he said: Then Khālid b. al-Walīd took the banner, and he is a sword among the swords of Allah.
