✧ Announcing the death of the deceased

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، صَاحِبِ الدَّسْتُوَائِيِّ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ:
لَا بَأْسَ إِذَا مَاتَ الرَّجُلُ أَنْ يُؤْذَنَ صَدِيقُهُ، إِنَّمَا كَانُوا يَكْرَهُونَ أَنْ يُطَافَ بِهِ فِي الْمَجَالِسِ، أَنْعِي فُلَانًا كَفِعْلِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ
Translation
✧ There is no harm if a man dies that his close friend be informed. They used to dislike it being circulated in gatherings—announcing so-and-so's death—like the practice of jahiliyyah.
