✧ Announcing the death of the deceased

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ،
عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، حِينَ حَضَرَتْهُ الْوَفَاةُ قَالَ: لَاتُؤْذِنُوا بِي أَحَدًا كَفِعْلِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ
Translation
✧ From Alqamah b. Qays, when death approached him, he said: 'Do not announce my death to anyone, like the practice of the pre-Islamic age.'
