✧ Adornment on the day of Eid

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي حُمَيْدٍ،
أَنَّ طَاوُسًا كَانَ لَا يَدَعُ جَارِيَةً لَهُ سَوْدَاءَ وَلَا غَيْرَهَا إِلَّا أَمَرَهُنَّ فَيَخْضِبْنَ أَيْدِيَهُنَّ وَأَرْجُلَهُنَّ لِيَوْمِ الْفِطْرِ وَيَوْمِ الْأَضْحَى يَقُولُ: " يَوْمُ عِيدٍ
Translation
✧ Tawus would not leave any black slave girl of his or others except that he ordered them to dye their hands and feet for the day of Fitr and the day of Adha, saying: 'It is a day of eid.'
