✧ Do the desert dwellers pay it

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: أَوْدِيَتُنَا مَرٌّ، وَنَخْلَةُ، وَعَرَفَةُ، عَلَيْهِمْ زَكَاةُ الْفِطْرِ ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ، قُلْتُ: أَعِنْدَنَا أَمْ عِنْدَهُمْ ؟ قَالَ: " بَلْ عِنْدَنَا
Translation
✧ I said to ʿAṭāʾ: Our valleys—Marr, Nakhla, and ʿArafa—do their people owe zakat al-fiṭr? He said: "Yes." I said: Do they pay it here with us or with them? He said: "Rather with us."
